Jaws and IE

Hi all,

I'm having an interesting situation with Jaws and IE. It really isn't *that* big of a deal, but up until a few days ago, Jaws was reading the title windows of websites in IE just fine, (take Google, for instance, it would read: "Goodle.com - Microsoft Internet Explorer" or whatever...). Anyway, just suddenly, and for some strange reason, it's started to read the full http address before the window title, (I.E. "http://www.google.com - Google Microsoft Internet Explorer" or something similar). I'm not sure what could be causing this, if I have some weird bar checked in the View menu that shows up that I shouldn't or what. I've been able to do a System Restore to a time before this interesting happening took place, but it will eventually happen again. I have no idea whatsoever what could be the issue here. I even tried restoring my IE default settings, and still nothing. I'm definitely at a loss.
If anyone thinks they might be able to help or know what could be going on here, feel free to post either here or email me using the address in my profile. Email would probably be better, as I'm more apt to check that than to log on here.
Thanks, and take care,
Liz

Hi Liz,

What toolbars do you have enabled in the tools menu? If you say you restored your system and it happens again at some point, my only other guess is that you have some kind of spyware installed. Try restoring your system again, and then download a spyware removal tool. After cleaning your system, use it for a while and see what happens. I recommend Ad-aware, which is a great spyware scanning and cleaning tool. This can be found at http://lavasoft.element5.com. Let me know what happens.

Thanks,

Chet

Yeah, I removed some spyware, (I do use Addaware), and I restored my system I think it was yesterday, and things seem fine... I don't know, it was odd. Maybe it's fixed now. :)
Thanks for your reply.
